Network polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007848
A polymer in which all polymer chains are interconnected to form a single macroscopic entity, often through covalent bonds. This extensive crosslinking results in a three-dimensional molecular network structure that is insoluble and does not flow when heated. Thermosetting polymers, such as epoxy resins and vulcanized rubber, are common examples of network polymers.
