Polymer network particle

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009184

A particle composed of a single, continuous macromolecule formed by the cross-linking of polymer chains into a three-dimensional network structure. These particles are insoluble in all solvents, although they can swell in the presence of a good solvent. Their properties are determined by the cross-link density and the chemical nature of the constituent polymer chains.
