Polymer nanosphere

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009183

A spherical polymer nanoparticle with an equivalent diameter of roughly 1 to 100 nanometres. It is a matrix without a distinct outer shell or hollow core, which sets it apart from a polymer nanocapsule, and active substances are held in the matrix itself, whether embedded, dissolved or covalently bound. Nanospheres are often prepared by emulsion polymerization or nanoprecipitation.
