Polymer microparticle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009180
A polymer particle, whatever its shape, whose equivalent diameter lies between roughly 0.1 and 100 micrometres. Such particles can be solid, porous or hollow, and are formed by emulsion, suspension or dispersion polymerization. Particles below about 0.1 micrometre fall in the nanoparticle class instead, defined as roughly 1 to 100 nanometres.
