Gel microparticle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004795
A discrete particle composed of a cross-linked polymer network swollen with a solvent, having dimensions in the micrometer range. These particles maintain their integrity due to covalent or physical cross-links within the polymer chains. They are often used in drug delivery, chromatography, and as scaffolds for cell culture.
