Particulate gel
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008514
A type of gel formed by the aggregation and interconnection of discrete colloidal particles, rather than by the crosslinking of polymer chains. These particles, often inorganic, form a continuous network that traps the solvent, giving the material its gel-like properties. Examples include silica gels formed from colloidal silica particles.
