Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000755

A hydrogel whose network is a colloidal network, that is, a gel with water as the liquid component held in an extended structure of linked colloidal particles. It is a subclass of hydrogel, the broader class that also includes gels with networks of cross-linked polymer chains. Silica gels in water are examples.
