Transient network

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012224

A polymer network in which the junction points or crosslinks are temporary and can form and break reversibly over time. This dynamic nature allows the network to rearrange and relax stresses, leading to viscoelastic behavior. Such networks are characteristic of many physical gels and entangled polymer melts.
