Transient junction point
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012223
A temporary point of connection within a polymer network, where multiple polymer chains converge and are held together by reversible interactions. These junctions are not permanent covalent bonds but rather dynamic associations that can form and dissociate. Such points are characteristic of physical gels, which exhibit viscoelastic behavior and can reform after disruption.
