Permanent crosslink

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008664

A chemical bond or junction that irreversibly connects two or more polymer chains, forming a stable, three-dimensional network. These crosslinks are typically covalent bonds that are not easily broken under normal operating conditions. They impart enhanced mechanical strength, insolubility, and elasticity to the polymer material.
