Crosslink density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002719

The concentration of crosslinks within a polymer network, expressed as the number of moles of crosslinks per unit volume or per unit mass of the network. This value quantifies the extent of crosslinking and directly influences the mechanical properties of the material, such as its stiffness and elasticity. It is determined by methods like swelling experiments or dynamic mechanical analysis.
