Cross-linking
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002720
The process of forming covalent bonds between polymer chains or between different molecules, resulting in a network structure. In biological systems, this can involve linking proteins or nucleic acids, often to stabilize complexes or to study molecular interactions. This technique is frequently used in gel electrophoresis to alter the pore size of the gel matrix.
