Gelation temperature

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004800

The temperature at which a polymer solution or melt undergoes a transition from a fluid state to a gel state, forming a stable, three-dimensional network. Below this temperature, the polymer chains associate to form a gel, while above it, they remain dispersed. This temperature is influenced by polymer concentration and solvent quality.
