Thermoreversible gel
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011986
A gel that can reversibly transition between a solid-like gel state and a liquid-like sol state upon changes in temperature. These gels form through non-covalent interactions that are strong enough to create a network at lower temperatures but dissociate upon heating. Examples include certain polymer solutions that gel upon cooling and melt upon heating.
