Thermoreversible network

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011988

A polymer network constructed with thermoreversible junction points, which are non-covalent and thermally sensitive cross-links. This structure can reversibly transition between a solid-like gel state at lower temperatures and a liquid-like sol state at higher temperatures. The specific temperature at which the gel liquefies upon heating is known as the gel-melting temperature, while the sol-to-gel transition upon cooling occurs at the gelation temperature.
