Gel point

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004797

The specific extent of reaction at which a polymerizing system transitions from a liquid to a solid, elastic state, forming an infinite network. This point marks the onset of gelation, where the viscosity of the system increases dramatically. It is determined by factors such as monomer functionality and concentration.
