Pre-gel regime

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009383

The stage in a crosslinking polymerization reaction before the formation of an infinite network or gel point. During this regime, the system consists of individual polymer chains or small branched molecules that are soluble and flowable. The viscosity of the system increases as the reaction progresses towards the gel point.
