Sol fraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010975
The portion of a polymer sample that remains soluble after a crosslinking reaction or gelation process. This fraction consists of uncrosslinked polymer chains or small, soluble networks that have not become part of the infinite gel network. It is typically expressed as a mass fraction or percentage of the total polymer.
