Polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009195
A chemical reaction or series of reactions in which monomer molecules combine to form a macromolecule, or polymer. This process typically involves the formation of covalent bonds between repeating monomer units. Polymerization can occur through addition, condensation, or ring-opening mechanisms, leading to materials with distinct properties.
