Monomer molecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007553
A molecule of low molecular mass that is capable of undergoing polymerization to form a polymer. This molecule possesses at least one functional group or reactive site that allows it to form covalent bonds with other monomer molecules. The repetition of these units forms the polymer chain.
