Mesogenic monomer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007213
A monomer molecule that contains a mesogenic group and is capable of forming a liquid-crystalline polymer upon polymerization. These monomers are designed to retain or induce liquid-crystalline order in the resulting polymer chain or network. Polymerization of such monomers can lead to materials with unique optical and mechanical properties.
