Polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009156
A substance composed of macromolecules, which are large molecules formed by the covalent bonding of many smaller repeating units called monomers. These macromolecules have a high relative molecular mass and exhibit properties distinct from their constituent monomers. The degree of polymerization indicates the number of monomer units in a polymer chain.
