Macromolecule

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006879

A molecule characterized by a high relative molecular mass, whose structure is primarily composed of the repeated linking of smaller units. These repeating units are derived, either actually or conceptually, from molecules of lower relative molecular mass. Polymers are a common class of macromolecules, often having molecular weights exceeding 10,000 g/mol.
