Hyperbranched macromolecule

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005504

A macromolecule characterized by a highly branched, tree-like structure with a large number of terminal groups, but without the perfectly regular and symmetrical architecture of a dendrimer. It is typically synthesized in a single step, leading to a distribution of molecular weights and branching patterns. These polymers exhibit low viscosity and high solubility compared to linear polymers of similar molecular weight.
