Terminal constitutional repeating unit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011876
A constitutional repeating unit located at the end of a main chain or a side chain within a macromolecule. This unit is bonded to only one other constitutional repeating unit, distinguishing it from units within the chain that are bonded to two or more. In dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers, these terminal units form the molecule's outer surface and their number is directly related to the degree of branching.
