Axial advancement per constitutional repeating unit

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001035

The distance along the chain axis that a polymer chain advances for each constitutional repeating unit in a crystalline polymer. This value is determined by the specific helical or zigzag conformation adopted by the polymer chain in its crystalline state. It is a fundamental parameter in characterizing the unit cell dimensions of crystalline polymers.
