Rotation per helix residue
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010418
The angle of rotation about the helix axis that relates the position of one constitutional repeating unit to the next identical unit along the helix of a crystalline polymer. This value quantifies the helical twist between successive repeating units. It is expressed in degrees and is a key parameter, along with the axial translation, in defining the helical symmetry of the polymer chain.
