Helicity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005161

The sense of twist or handedness of a helical structure, such as a screw, a spring, or a molecular helix. It describes whether the helix turns clockwise (right-handed or P for plus) or counter-clockwise (left-handed or M for minus) when viewed along its axis. This property is a type of axial chirality.
