Helix pitch

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005169

The axial distance covered by one complete turn of a helical polymer chain. This parameter quantifies the periodicity of the helical structure along its axis. It is typically measured in nanometers and is a characteristic feature of a specific helical conformation, such as the alpha-helix in proteins.
