Branched polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001477
A macromolecule composed of a main chain with one or more side chains attached to it. These side chains are themselves polymer chains, chemically identical or similar to the main chain. The branching structure affects properties like melt viscosity, solubility, and mechanical strength compared to linear polymers of the same molecular weight.
