Graft polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004986
A polymer in which side chains are attached to a main polymer backbone, with the side chains being chemically distinct from the backbone. This structure is formed by grafting one type of polymer onto another, creating a branched macromolecule. The properties of graft polymers can differ significantly from those of the individual homopolymers, often exhibiting enhanced compatibility or surface characteristics.
