Graft copolymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004984
Any polymerization process that leads to the formation of a graft copolymer, where side chains are attached to a main polymer backbone. This can occur by polymerizing monomers from active sites on the backbone, or by copolymerizing macromonomers with other monomers. The resulting polymer has distinct chemical or physical properties from its constituent homopolymers.
