Radical copolymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009848
A type of copolymerization reaction initiated by free radicals, where two or more different monomers are simultaneously polymerized to form a copolymer. The relative reactivity of the monomers and propagating radicals determines the composition and sequence distribution of the monomer units in the resulting polymer chain. This is a widely used method for synthesizing copolymers.
