Alternating copolymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000454
A type of copolymerization reaction that yields an alternating copolymer, where two different monomer units add to the growing polymer chain in a regular, alternating sequence. This process is often driven by strong electronic interactions between the propagating chain end and the incoming monomer. The resulting polymer exhibits a highly ordered microstructure.
