Statistical copolymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011344
A copolymerization process in which the different monomeric units are incorporated into the growing polymer chain according to statistical probabilities, rather than in a strictly alternating or block-like fashion. The sequence distribution of the monomer units is determined by the relative concentrations of the monomers and their reactivity ratios. This process leads to the formation of statistical copolymers.
