Statistical process control

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011345

A method of quality control that employs statistical methods to monitor and manage a process, such as an analytical measurement procedure. Data is collected in real time to identify and correct performance issues, reducing variability and improving quality. Control charts are a primary tool used to distinguish between variation inherent in the process and variations caused by special events.
