Internal quality control

A set of procedures performed by the staff of a laboratory to continuously monitor the quality of analytical results. This involves analyzing control samples alongside patient or test samples and comparing the results to predefined limits. It provides immediate feedback on the performance of analytical methods and instruments within the laboratory.
