Measurement procedure

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013267

A full written account of how a measurement is carried out, based on one or more measurement principles and a chosen measurement method, including the equipment, reagents, operating steps and any calculations needed to obtain a result. In laboratories it is usually kept as a standard operating procedure, which must be validated to show that it is fit for its analytical purpose. In metrology vocabulary it is more specific than a measurement method.
