Ruggedness of a measurement procedure

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010451

The capacity of an analytical method to keep giving acceptable results when small variations creep into the way it is carried out, also called its robustness. It is examined by deliberately changing parameters such as reagent concentration, temperature or instrument settings and checking how the results respond, usually during method development and sometimes as part of validation.
