Radical entry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009849

The process by which a free radical, typically originating from an initiator, enters a polymer particle or droplet in a dispersed polymerization system. This step initiates the polymerization within the dispersed phase. The rate of radical entry influences the overall polymerization kinetics and the number of polymer particles formed.
