Organostibane-mediated radical polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008325
A form of reversible-deactivation radical polymerization where an organostibane compound acts as the agent for reversible chain transfer. The process involves the transfer of a radical from the growing polymer chain to the antimony center, creating a dormant species and a new radical. This equilibrium between active and dormant chains provides control over the polymerization, influencing the final polymer's molecular weight and architecture.
