Organobismuthane-mediated radical polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013366
A reversible-deactivation radical polymerization technique that uses organobismuth compounds as chain transfer agents. These agents reversibly cleave and reform carbon-bismuth bonds, allowing for controlled growth of polymer chains. This method provides good control over molecular weight and polydispersity, typically yielding polymers with polydispersity indices below 1.5.
