Linear chain

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006612

A polymer molecule in which the monomer units are connected sequentially to form a single, unbranched backbone. Each monomer unit is linked to at most two other monomer units within the main chain. This structure contrasts with branched or cross-linked polymers, which have side chains or interconnections between polymer chains.
