Branch
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001472
A side chain of a polymer molecule that is connected to the main chain at one point and consists of at least one monomer unit. Branches can vary in length and frequency, influencing the polymer's physical properties such as density, viscosity, and crystallinity. Linear polymers lack such side chains.
