Linear macromolecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006626
A macromolecule whose constitutional units are arranged in a single, unbranched chain. This structure consists of a continuous sequence of units joined end to end without any side chains or network formation. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a prominent example, consisting of linear chains, which contrasts with the branched structure of low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
