Block macromolecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001380
A macromolecule in which the constituent monomeric units are arranged in a linear sequence of blocks. Each block is a portion of the macromolecule that has at least one constitutional or configurational feature not present in the adjacent portions. An example is a diblock copolymer of polystyrene and poly(methyl methacrylate), written as poly(styrene-block-methyl methacrylate).
