Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001377

A stretch of a polymer chain made up of many constitutional units and differing from the segments on either side of it in at least one respect, such as the type of constitutional unit, the sequence of units or the configuration. A block copolymer such as polystyrene-block-polybutadiene-block-polystyrene joins blocks of different kinds end to end.
