Single-strand polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010902
A polymer whose molecules consist of constitutional units connected in such a way that adjacent units are joined to each other through two atoms, one on each unit, forming a linear chain. The structure does not contain any branching points that are part of the main chain itself, resulting in a simple, unbranched backbone. This structure contrasts with double-strand polymers, where the chain resembles a ladder.
