Single-strand chain

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010900

A polymer chain in which each constitutional unit is connected to at most two other constitutional units, forming a linear sequence. There are no branches or crosslinks that would create multiple pathways along the chain. This type of chain is characteristic of most linear polymers.
