Dendrimer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002986
A highly branched, three-dimensional macromolecule characterized by a central core from which successive layers of branched units, called generations, emanate. These polymers exhibit a high degree of structural perfection and a large number of peripheral functional groups. Dendrimers are synthesized through iterative, controlled reactions, leading to precise molecular architectures.
